The main document for reissuing a passport upon expiration is a certificate of naturalization. There are situations when a document is lost – we work with them, but this is a complicated process that will significantly delay the receipt of a new passport.
If you are an investment citizen of Antigua, then to reissue you will need to show that you have visited the country – 30 days within 5 years. For this, it is best to keep travel documents – printed boarding passes for the flight, invoices from hotels. Of course, they will also look at the stamps in the passport, which are put by border control.
If you have citizenship by investment from Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, or Dominica, please note that new requirements for program participants are currently in the final stages of approval. These countries, like Antigua, will introduce visitation requirements that must be met in order to reissue the document.
The new measure will most likely affect those who have been under 5 years since receiving their citizenship by investment (naturalization). APEX is monitoring the situation as a licensed agent for Caribbean programs, thanks to its offices in the Caribbean.
